Removing sash windows

Hi everyone, I was trying to take out a double hung sash window at an old house. The inner window had two screws on top of the sash that I removed. I did this and pulled the window out easily. As far as the outer sash, there are two pieces of metal on the underside of the sash that are held in with screws and these pieces of metal connect the bottom of the sash to a tab on the window's vertical track. The tab on the vertical track prevents the upper sash from being pulled out. However, even after removing the screws, the metal part that is connected to the tab on each side is stuck in the underside of the sash on both the left and the right sides. I tried pulling the window out and while the top comes out the bottom part doesn't budge. I can take a pliers and bend the metal part to remove it from the underside of sash but i'm afraid i'll break something. I need to take the window out and put it back in at a later time. Any thoughts?

if i'm not mistaken your windows will tilt for cleaning?there may or may not be a latch, grab one corner of top of the sash and give it a pull while pushing in on the plastic jamb liner

if it does tilt open it 90degrees to the frame, then give it a twist,it should come right out

Sure looks like a pivit point at the bottom of the sash.
Lower the window and see if there's two latches at the top of the sash.
