Refinishing old wooden doors

We own a seventy year old house and some of the original wood doors have scuffs and scratches. The doors are part hardwood and part veneer. Any suggestions on how to refinishish them? Thanks

Refinishing old wooden doors

Post a picture.
Hard to say what to do with that little info.
How are they finshed now, paint stain and sealer?
What do you want them to look like?

Put down the cocktail Joe, nobody said anything about floors...
tban, Joe is right however that it depends on the extent of the damage and the type of finish. More than likely you'll need to do some sanding, as well as possibly filler if some scratches are pretty deep. Another option (again, dependant upon what is on them currently), would be to use a chemical stripper to get the finish off.
