Power windows

Hi all,

I've been thinking about the possiblity of this for awhile now but I cannot find any information on it anywhere. Has anyone attempted this? I want to do it and have them be operable away from home so I can open and close the windows if it rains while i'm stuck at work and such. Could anyone help find some information on this?

Thanks in advance!:)

Are you talking the casement windows with the gear turner? or double hung up and down windows?

THat would be some useful information, wouldn't it? :)

The windows I'm planning on doing this to are sliding windows, so would only have to be able to slide them open and back closed.

Based on what I can find, it would probably be cheaper to rent a helicopter to fly you home to close the windows.

These are $600 EACH

These are for casement windows. No luck with the sliding window yet.

Best plan would be to close and lock the windows anytime you leave the house.

Were you considering this for the purposes of ventilation or just if you forgot to lock them?

Probably easier to use technology that already exists like the Velux vented skylights if that is the case.
