Opening a door that changes depth

I am creating a theater room and there will be acoustic panels on the walls, and probably the doors as well. I am looking to have deeper panels up high which then get shallower towards the floor. I am wanting the door (with panels) to be flush with the walls. Is there a way to do this without having the lower hing sticking out a few inches?

You can offset the set in the wall and have the hinges more flush but it depends on the swing direction.

You will have to make the door outswing away from the panel side of the wall if you want the hinges to be buried and are using a standard swing door.
