New construction windows in remodel .. Advice requested

Hi and thanks,

Here is my issue. We are remodeling taking siding off to ready for stucco. Currently the house has only the original tar paper wrap on it.

I had all new windows installed (new construction) except I was 1 short on my order.

The stucco guys are now wrapping the house with 2 layers of paper and the chicken wire ..

I need to install this window that just showed up.

My question is:

For the flashing, do I cut out the existing paper and flash on the sheathing/plywood or do I go over the existing paper?

I get the installation process (sill, sides, top, caulk, etc) I just do not know what layer to be at IE on the plywood or over the existing paper.

The stucco guys will come back over this window with new paper (2 layers), I just need to have it all ready.

Thanks again.

Go over it. At the top make two slits running vertical so the paper can be lifted and placed over the nailing fin.
