Need help getting sliding glass door out

Hi all, we have a sliding glass door and the rollers and track are shot. WE have adjusted the rollers screws as much as we can but we still can't get the door high enough to clear the track. The door is a Jen-Weld, 8 foot tall dual pane and is very heavy. We can one side up above the track (at a time) or the other, but never at the same time. It's like a teeter-totter, one side up and one side down. There are no anti lift blocks on the top track. Need to get the door out to replace the rollers and track. Any suggestions?

Take a "thin" metal putty knife and while someone is lifting try sliding the knife under the rollers.

Need help getting sliding glass door out

Hi and thanks for the help. Yeah, we can get one side up (at a time) and get a putty knife under the rollers and over the to other side of the door track, but we can't get both sides up at the same time. It is like there is something preventing both sides from coming up enought at the same time to clear the track on both ends. We have looked and do not see anything above the door although it is hard to see. I'm thinking that maybe there is something in the middle top of the door preventing us from getting both sides of the door up at the same time. Any ideas?

8' is a heavy door, are you sure you don't just need to grunt a little bit louder?

Slide the door to bypass, so you can look at the upper track. There may be a machine screw or stop up there. Look along the inside edge of the face of the door at the top rail for an adjustable cam device that's operable.

Need help getting sliding glass door out

Thanks, my son was able to get a dentist mirror and was able to see a little piece of plastic coming down the inside of the door track on top. We've been looking for a anti-lift block or a screw stuck somewhere on top of the door in the middle, but this little piece of plastic sticking down is the same color as the door vinyl and about 1/8th of an inch thick. We were able to get this piece of plastic out of the way & now we can get both sides of the door up, but unable to get the tandem wheels on both ends up enough to clear the frame. So we will try again with some wide putty knives and try and slide those under the wheels. I'll let you know how that works out
