Moisture problems with bay window

Every year the problem is getting worse with moisture running down my bay window and puddling on the surface. After inspecting the window I feel that the caulk on the outside is the problem. Would I be able to replace the caulk on the outside and improve the window preformance? What would be the best caulk to use and what temp should do this work in?

Where is the moisture from?

Sealing up the exterior will have little impact if the moisture is a result of condensation. If there are bulk air leaks, sealing up the exterior will help slightly by helping lessen the dew-point conditions, however, condensation will not be eliminated by exterior sealing alone.

I'd agree with WoW that exterior caulking is unlikely to be the issue. The three most common issues I see on bays are 1) curtains/blinds blocking the warm interior air circulation, 2) air leakage due to poor quality product or installation, and 3) lack of insulation on the seat and/or head board.

When does this moisture occur? In the Summer, Winter, when it rains?
