Kind of Caulking to use around new windows and FC siding?

Mary on maui Newbie   Join Date: Nov 2012 Posts: 1	Kind of Caulking to use around new windows and FC siding? We just built a new shed and are doing the finishing. The windows are vinyl and the siding is hardi planks. What type of caulking should I use around the windows? We live in a hot dry environment.

kwikfishron Moderator     Join Date: Mar 2010 Location: Kansas/Oregon Coast Posts: 4,516	Kind of Caulking to use around new windows and FC siding? "Osi Quad" or "Vulkem" is what I'd use. Windows on Wash Exterior Construction     Join Date: Aug 2011 Location: VA, MD, DC Posts: 3,493	Kind of Caulking to use around new windows and FC siding? Those are two of the really good ones. I won't use anything with "alex" in the name on the exterior of any structure.
