Installing an inswinging screen door on an outswinging front door.
How can I install an inswinging screen door on an outswingong front door.
|
I would suggest an old fashioned all wood screen door--they are still being made--some are quite nice.
Trim door to fit the opening--add hinges---door stop molding--a handle and a spring. Paint or stain---simple--good looking--easy to remove during winter--in expensive.--Mike--- |
Usually the hinges are on the same side for both doors, but some people seem to like them opposite.
Watch that your handles don't hit each other. |
retractable screen help?
There's always the option of a retractable screen system and then you don't have to worry about hinging, still install in the inside of an outswing door, but we have installed hundreds of these in this application.
