Install storm door with aluminum covered jamb

A couple of years ago I had my house resided, and the window and door trim were wrapped in aluminum coil.

One storm door was removed and not replaced. Now I'd like to install a replacement.

Is there any way I can install a replacement storm door and when the jamb is wrapped in aluminum?

No way to know without at least a picture.
We have no way of knowing how it was wrapped.
Most often if it was done right you can just go right over it.

+1. You generally install over it, but it really depends on whether they wrapped it with the possibility of installing a storm in the future or not.

We install storm doors; over doors that have been wrapped - all the
time.
Hopefully, you won't have a problem!

Will post photos once the rain lets up.

Now that I look at it again, there is a spot where the aluminum stops, then the wood is exposed. Photos are essential.
