Hinge Pin Help

I'm remodeling my bathroom, and removed the door. Unfortunately, one of the hinge pins rusted stuck, which caused me considerable problems until I turned to you guys (http://www.diychatroom.com/f2/stuck-hinge-pin-185103/).

Now, I'm putting things back together. I'm putting in new hinge pins. Is there any hinge pin (e.g., stainless steel) that's better than others for this damp/wet location?

Also, any lubricant you recommend that stands up better over time? Some possibilities:

o Wheel bearing grease
o White lithium grease
o Motor oil
o WD-40
o One of the PB Blaster products
o Liquid Wrench
o Silicon

Thanks for your help,

Richard

Just replace the whole hinge with a solid brass one and never have to do anything to it.

joecaption, I like that idea! Unfortunately, I have a steel door frame, and one half of the hinge is welded to it. Thus, I can't swap it for a brass one. On the other hand, could I put in a brass hinge pin, and acheive the same result?

Nope, going to set up electrolysis with dissimilar materials.
Need a steel pin.
Just use some WD 40 on it.
If it's rusting then the humidity is to high.
