HELP - someone stop me from cursing

Honest, I don't think I have cursed more in my life!

I got the window installed everything nice and square and plumb. I just need to put back the aluminum "trim" on the four sides of the picture window.

OK this is what the trim piece looks like. I remember when I took it off it took some finessing.

So how do I put it back in? I tried and the outer lip of the trim wouldn't go inside the front edge of the inside flange. I can't use anything that would scratch the finish, and I can't push too hard or I might break the glass.

@#$%^&*()(*&()_)(*&^%$#!!!

Is there a trick? I spent almost 2 hours and going no where!

HELP!!!

Hook, pivot, and tap. That's all I've ever done.

Maybe try a little lubricant on the window side?
