Garage door Opener sensor

I have a Garage door opener circa 1987 and thus does not have sensors. Is it possible to install sensors without replacing the functioning opener?

Unlikely with that age of opener.
Unless there are wireless ones that work off the same frequency that your hand ones do.

Openers of that era typically only have open and close "sensitivity" adjustments. Photoeyes weren't standard. Post a pic if you can of the opener and I could talk you thru the adjustments.

RataW,
the opener is 25 years old. If you want eyes, time to upgrade. You definitely got your money's worth out of that one. What kind is it, just curious?

If that's the case, why even put them in?
Is the buyer requesting/asking for them?
