Question

framing nailer impact reverberation on windows

i get small chips of brick and mortar fall off all the time in close proximity of framing nailer impact.

i was wondering if such reverberations can break a window when done close enough to one. i've never used a nailer very close to a window but i think i'm about to.

If the brick and morter is falling apart from just a framing nailer near it somethings really wrong with that wall.
I know I've never cracked a window with a framing nail gun. It rare you have to even use one near a window. Trim gun yes, framing no.

Possibility: Your framing nails may be too long and the nail tips are passing thru the framing and "impacting" directly against the Brick & Mortar surfaces (causing the blow-outs and chipping).

No reason that a window should crack from that, short of a nail hitting the glass.

no, not from a nail hitting the glass but nailing a few feet away from the window
