Exterior window trim

In trimming out my new construction window can I use brick mold all four sides of the window, or are there specific window molds just for windows and the exterior side. Im replacing some old wooden windows, completely taking out the frame and molding to the bare studs.

brick mold usually goes on both sides and the top for exterior application. The bottom of the window consists of a window seal ( sloped 15 degrees average to the outside )and window nosing connected to the seal to hang out past the vertical plane of the siding.

edit, interior has different trim than exterior. you can have 1x trim on the outside or brick mold, whichever look you want to have for new windows. The window sales guy will supply all necessary info in regards ti trim.

Your going to need Z moulding over the top piece of moulding or water will get in behind it.

Oh yeah thanks for that, I need to plan on getting some of that, or do you think I could make some with some left over metal flashing I have??

Got a brake to bend it all in one piece?
A whole length 10' long is only about $7.00 you decide.

Check out pvc exterior moldings. Azek is one manufacturer. It can be cut, nails like wood, is easily paintable, and will not rot.
