Entry door suggestions

We need a new front door and are wanting a decent brand--middle of line or so--we might be moving but still want to put in a brand that will last. Fiberglass seems to be the material of choice? I have seen Andersen doors recommended. I went to Lowes and got a quote for a pella door that won't rot, but those seem to be looked down upon from the reviews. Where would we look other than HD/Lowes. Our door is 36 with 2 sidelites that are 12". Just want a plain 6 panel front door with the sidelites. We are in B'ham, Al.

Fiberglass doors are a good option, and there are a wide variety of insert styles available. It's a good idea to also check with a local building supply. They will usually have expertise and catalogs that you won't find at the "big box" stores.

They are now.

That said, that’s what I use, mainly because that’s what my “local lumber yard” stocks.

ThermaTru is now also manufactured in Mexico. I’m just guessing but that maybe the Box Store Line.

I’ve never had a problem with ThermaTru and would recommend them but I’m curious about the difference between the ones manufactured in Mexico vs. the ones in Ohio and which ones I'm getting.
