DYI Replacement Windows
I have old aluminum windows in my house that need replacing. The windows don't have screens and won't even open.
I had a quote from Window World for $7000.00 which I feel is a little high for a 1500 sf house. I thought of ordering a couple vinyl Windows and do an install myself and see how it goes. I'm including a couple of pictures because the current windows are not attached to a wood surround but directly to the old red tile blocks and interior plaster walls. The way the current windows are mounted is this the same way I would mount the new windows?
