Do they make privacy locks for double Mr & Mrs Doors?

I am looking to install a Mr & Mrs double door set (both doors active) for a bedroom / futrure excercise room. More than likely hollow core. I would prefer to go with a standard knob style rather than a multi point tirm. What options do I have for a privacy lock if any? The only thing that I could think of is an internal rod or two that catch in the top of jam and/or floor but I have only seen this on commercial doors. Maybe my best option is a few ball catches and a do not disturb sign.

Stock doors will come with ball detents one one side and only one bore side door.
If for some unknown reason you want to you could add a matching dummy knob on the other door. There just for looks and have no latch.

There are ways to do it, but be prepared to spend a lot of money, and probably go to solid core. It can get complicated and rather ugly, especially if you get a system that requires a indexer. Best to find a good hardware specialty store, with a knowledgeable sales staff.

If a astrigal is not needed, life is a little simpler

I was figuring without astrigal. Either a bulb gasket or brush to close the gap. It would almost seem like I would need a bore for the knob then a vertical bore through each door. Then mount the latch vertical with a really long bolt that would mate with the strike mounted in the top jam.

I just never dealt with a double door before and wasn't sure if hardware existed for such a situation.

You know my last post got me thinking... How thick are the edge and top/bottoms of hollow core doors before they turn hollow?

You need a cremone bolt with lever. Not very common these days. Do a web search.
