Do garage doors without windows really prevent theft?

Planning to get 2 new garage doors (single tyype) and I like the windows for light, but seems theres some paranoia about the non window type. Is it worth maybe the extra hedge against "theft" while sacrificing light? Garage sits RIGHT on the sidewalk, BTW. Opinions appreciated.

Thanks!

You're talking a garage door with windows in the upper panel?
Can someone break a glass, panel out -
and reach the disconnect for the opener?
(Cord - rope)
I suppose it's something to be considered -
Usually, they go through the "entry door"
(Or a window)

No.

There is a much, much easier way to get into a garage door.

right- windows in the upper panel, or maybe the lower one. The thought being- peeper peeks inside , sees a car, wants to steal it, breaks in. As opposed to not being able to peek with no windows.....

it eliminates the chance of being broken into .. if they cant see inside to see whats in the garage, their less likely to want to get in.

Might mitigate the desire but it in no way shape of form improve the break in resistance.
