Difficulty of replacing slider? Quality of these models?

Screwing around; it's been a long night.

Wrap the rough opening onto the sheathing with the adhesive flashing starting from the bottom. You can wrap the sill too. There are probably millions of new installs using the adhesive flashing without pans. When you set the door, you can roll up the flashing into a long sticky rope, and use that as your gasket under the door. You'll also want to run a thick bead of silicone around the opening to seat the brick molding into. Finish it off with some head flashing over the top before fixing the siding.

I did notice that a lot of instructions don't say anything about using a sill pan. My old POS slider didn't have a sill pan either.

Does the adhesive flashing go against the outside of the brickmold too? Or only behind it?

Ahhh, I just made a quick pic to explain better.

Studs/sheathing are obvious.
Red & purple are both adhesive flashing, just different color to differentiate.
Blue = brick mold & frame

My Jamsill I ordered came so I will be using that.

I can't find a good "how-to" on how to flash this whole opening yet.

The website is not cooperating for me but I thought of a good video I saw where they used a copper pan in a window. Same concept. It was on one of the Barrington Beach House episodes of This Old House. You can watch the episodes online.
