Center Hinge on Exterior Door

How important is the center hinge on a residential exterior door?

I can see how the top one and the bottom one would help with keeping the door straight, but the center one seems completely worthless.

Talk some sense into me!

Center Hinge on Exterior Door

A cheap door will only have two.
It helps spread out the load.
If there's only two all the weights on the top hinge and often times will pull out the screws.

Center Hinge on Exterior Door

the third hinge also helps to reduce the chances of the door from warping
