Can i get replacement glass made for a 50s era bow window?

I have a 50s era cape with the original bow picture window. I have one pane that is cracked needing replacement. We like to see if we could get double paned glass to replace all the glass. We looked not getting the full window replaced years go and we were quoted around 7500. We like the window and it is in good shape. Can we have someone make these for us? I'd also think it would be considerably less expensive too. Any thoughts?

Thanks

If it's just single pane glass now I see know way of doing that.
Some newer bows and bays has deeper millin strips and used two panes of glass that where bonded together but had a gap between the panes.
Yours are to narrow so there would be no way to hold in the pane.
I'd get another price that one sounds high to me.
The two I did last year were a two day job and the window was about $1500.00.
About the only thing you can do is use that shrink wrap plastic with the double sided tape.

$7500 is probably not representative of what you might pay but I am not sure $1500 is either.

Retrofitting that window to work with double pane glass will be an undertaking of some significance and probably not worth the investment.

The OP was likely referring to the window in an installed capacity and without knowing anything about the installation, your number of $1,500 (not including installation) is also misleading.

Does the home need a roof kit, re-structuring, turn buckles, knee bracing, permitting, etc, etc, etc.

I wasn't picking on you but throwing out a number of $1,500 without qualifying the details is a bit vague.

I just put in a 6-Lite Bow with all casements that was 100+ inches wide by 60+ inches tall. Took 4 guys to manage without the glass in it.

I don't see that one listed on your pricing website.

From those pics, I see no reason why you could not put double pane glass in their. You would just need to add new stops.
On the cost conversation, $7500 more than likely was a bit steep, but the $1500 mentioned is equally ridiculous, and obviously not comparable as it does not include installation, lumber, woodwork, etc, not to mention the overhead and profit that are necessary for a legitimate company to operate.
I would get another quote or two for a better gauge on the pricing, and you could also have a glass company out to take a look at the glass only option. That way you can compare which would be a better investment.
