Broken sliding glass door handle

It's an old aluminum slider, the handle is completely broken off of it and the latch mechanism is barely hanging on.

Is it possible to buy a replacement handle and latch for these things?

Lowes and Home Depot have them.
There sold in the same general area as the door hardware.
Make sure to measure the distance between the two screws that hold the handle in place. There's two diffeant spacings.

This is going to be so awesome.

I am just giddy. Thanks

Is there anything I need to know about the door, need to bring busted part in with me or are they pretty much standard?

Yep... If HD does not have a match, your best bet would be to figure out who manufactured the door and then contact them for a replacement.
