Best glass door?

We have an old house with no door to the back but way too many windows in the North facing living room. I'd like to replace that 15' span of windows with a good door going to a future patio but am ignorant on the various types. Since this is Nebraska, temps dip deep below zero with high winds, keeping the wind and cold out is VERY important. Suggestions for type of door and brand(s) would be great. One with built in blinds so the dogs can't knock them down every time a rabbit happens to hop by would be even better.

Provia is probably the most well regarded door manufacturer that makes a large array of products.

What material are you looking for (wood, vinyl, fiberglass, etc)?

Provia does not make a wood door?

Most likely looking at fiberglass. Provia would be the choice in your home then?

Provia and Polaris both make a pretty solid door.

We sell and install Provia Doors. I agree with Windows on Washington that Provia makes a very nice fiberglass and steel door. We have tried other brands that were lower priced but the issues such as inconsistent quality and higher air infiltration rates have always brought us back to Provia. Provia is also very consumer and contractor friendly as they stand behind their products.

Thanks guys. I see 2 provia dealers within 100 miles so will check them out.
