When framing the roof over a bay window do you fill the gap space with insulation? If so how can it breathe, and will it cause condensation? Would appreciate your professional opinion. Thank you all for your time.
The rigid foam is in the bottom but there is none in the top. Hope I can get an answer before I shingle the roof I framed out over the window. I just need to know when I framed out the 2x4's if I should put insulation in the gap space under them. When I framed the 2x4's I will be putting plywood over that and then shingle the roof over the window. I read on line where some workers insulated that gap and some didn't. I went to the chatroom because I know a lot of you have experience in this field and I wanted to do this the correct way. Thanks guys.
If there is no foam on the top, just dump in some insulation. If you want to vent it, you can pop in a vent to allow for some circulation.
