Bathroom window that is over the tub/shower

What kind of material does the window frame need to be constructed of to make it waterproof? The current window is single-hung vertical 30x36, in an existing older home. I am remodeling and will be surrounding the window with a subway tile wall.

Got a picture?
No a big fan of a window in a wet area, what's the first thing you do, add a curtain and close it.
Changing it to a transome style window will still give you light but non of the other issues like rot and possible wall damage.
Even a solor tube will light up a whole room.
A vinyl window and vinyl trim that get's caulked is about the best you can do if you want to keep the window there.

As said windows in shower area are bad.
Yep as joe says
A transom wdw that is up high and only lets light in is better.
If wdw is going to stay use a vinyl window install properly with a sill pan.
Use vinyl trim, caulk behind it as you install it and caulk joints. also caulk wdw corners.
Also use a plastic shower curtain style curtain.

The box stores are not going to stock these but any real lumber yard will have them or can order one for you.
