Basement window finishing

Hi, I have a basement window I am trying to frame out. The window is an escape window, and it sits in a steel frame set into the concrete. I am framing the walls with steel studs, and I am looking for advise on how to build the frame around the window. The window itself is flush to the steel frame, meaning I can not put a sill on it with any thickness, otherwise it will block the escape window from opening. Is there something out there that can bridge the wall frame to the window frame that is flush, like a vinyl sheet to create a window sill / frame?

The photo I am uploading shows the side frame and the bottom sill. There is a recess for a 1/2" sill board to bridge the gap between the wall framing, but it will still leave a gap in the window sill. The sides have no recess and need something to bridge the gap between the wall and window frame. Any ideas?

Sounds like you just need an extension jamb to bridge the gap. That is a piece of wood the width from the window to the inside edge of your new wall. Then just trim the entire opening.
