Air Conditioner in tilt wash windows

Ok, so quick question. I've heard that you cant' put an air conditioner in Anderson Tilt Wash windows. I mean I understand that you can, but it's not recommended. Is this true and if so why? I plan on putting in two Anderson 3046 windows and planned to stick and ac unit in one. It's hot as heck in the bedroom where they're going. So much so that if this is true I'd seriously consider a different window.

You can but it will require a bit of a custom trim kit but that is not a big deal.

Thanks, WoW. I just got off the phone with Anderson who said "people do it all the time, we don't recommend it because it can break parts of the window if it's not done right and that, of course, voids any warranty. Just know that if you do it and there's any damage it won't be covered." She also affirmed the custom trim kit (not that I doubted you) but said Anderson doesn't sell them and I'd have to talk to the dealer or the installer. Since Home Depot is the dealer and *ahem* I'm the installer I'll ask HD about it when I order them. If they can't help me may I come back here for a few pointers on this kit?

Windows on Wash

If the AC unit is supported properly, it should not damage the window frame.
