adjustable threshold good or bad?

I've rarely seen an adjustable threshold used, so I wonder are they good? Are they hard to find (I've never noticed any at hardware stores).
Since I rarely see them I wonder if they are weak or unreliable.

Best thing since sliced bread.
It cost more to make an adjustable threshold that why you almost never see one at a box store.
Everydoor I order for older houses has one. That way when the floors no level it does not matter and I can still get a tight seal under the door.
