New here so naturally I am looking for some help. I have an old National lock deadbolt that broke. We are not going to be replacing the patio door until next year. Unfortunately, the deadbolt had a 2 inch backset and all the options are full replacements at around $90. I am just looking for the inside bolt. Any suggestions where to look?
Absolutely just call around to your local lock smithing shops. Chances are most of the houses in your area have had this same problem so the local guys keep specialty things like that around knowing it will sell. They should definitely carry what you need. Good luck!
Local had a substitute but at $80. Just don't want to put money into a door that will be replaced. Home Depot has a Jimmy Resistant-Entry-Door-Deadlock-U-9970 that might work as a temp solution. New here so I can't post the link. Thanks.
