wet insulation
 

I was having roof put on storm came up and rained the insulation got wet does it have to pe replaced ?

what kind of insulation is it ? probably fiberglass. i would just leave it, check it to see well it is drying. and watch for mold.

Should dry out under normal conditions as Fix said. If you are worried, rip it out and replace.

Insulation is cheap so err on the side of caution if you are concerned.

Wear proper protective gear.

yeah, well, that depends on how it is looked at . i just put $300 in my attic, and i need $300 more. and that is only 2/3 of my attic.

BUT, it is an investment that really does pay for itself MANY times over.

I was more so referring to the small area that he/she would likely have to replace.

In terms of payback though...it still is cheap.
