I know all the sites say to not use a vapor barrier if using the 2" XPS directly to the foundation walls method, but my building inspector for my town in upstate NY says it will still be required and recommended using paper-backed fiberglass insulation in the 2x4 wall.
I'm certainly not going to win an argument with him, so I am curious, is this really that bad or am I fine doing this? Just wondering if anyone came across the same thing.
