Vapor Barrier.... again

Hello All,
I am an avid poster/reader on the woodworking forum but I lurk here quite a bit. Here is the question but please understand I have searched this topic on this site and I THINK I know the answer. Just looking for some input.

I have a stand alone woodworking shop on my property. I have heat in the winter (only on when I am out there, maybe 6 - 8 hours a week) and a window AC unit that runs on low most of the months of July and August (to remove humidity).

I have insulated the ceiling and walls with Kraft paper faced (pink stuff) rolls of insulation.

I think I have mistakenly put a vapor barrier over the walls (not the ceiling yet).

I will be installing tongue and groove knotty pine on the walls soon and next summer 1/8 board on ceiling.

My question is this: Should I remove the vapor barrier (6 mil plastic sheeting) that I put up?

My research indicates that I should.

What do you mean by 1/8 board on a ceiling? Nothing below 1/2" is going to work and not sag.

you don't put up a vapor barrier over a vapor retarder. it will cause damage the kraft paper is for this it is your vapor retarder.

Sorry my location should be there now. I live in Western MA. It is snowing like heck out there now. I think I will go and remove the vapor barrier now. Need to start putting up the tongue and groove knotty pine soon.
