Unable to identify insulation

I am looking at a house built in 1979. In the attic is roughly 2 feet of loose fill insulation. It's different sizes of small, white pellets. They literally turn to dust when you rub them between your fingers. The house also has spray foam insulation in the walls and the pellets appear to be made of the same material.

I'm just curious.

Post up a picture but it sounds like cellulose.
