Thrown in insulation?

Recently was at a big box and thought I saw a cotton based (old jeans if I remember right) throw in insulation half the price of blow in and might work good for a garage..
Anyone have any experience with this?

Thrown in insulation?

Most denim insulations are completely overpriced and don't work as well as the more common cellulose and fiberglass. It was a nice "green" fad but you will be better suited to stick with proven materials and probably more cost effective.

The denim insulation is usually blue and what you may have been looking at is likely different stuff.

Thrown in insulation?

It's not thrown in, it's blown in, uses the same machine to blow it in, just differant material.
