Spray foam question
Guys, question for you all. I am in the process of finishing our basement, framing is complete. I was going to spray foam the walls which are concrete slab 10 inches thick. We have several cracks in the walls which have all been epoxied plugged. My question is with future moisture. If a foundation crack would possibly form behind the foam how would we ever be able to locate it? Does the foam seal the wall as to prevent little cracks from leaking? Would it be better to just use regular fiberglass insulation? Thanks in advance for any help that you could provide. Mike
Open cell foam will allow it to perk through.
Closed cell foam will be tough to track backwards as it is moisture impermeable so it could show up a ways away from where it started.
