spray foam question

I'am getting ready to redo the drywall in my living room. The question I have is I want to get a DIY spray foam (close cell). Is it okay to use 2" foam board the high density kind and then fell the rest with foam, or should I just fill the hole cavity with the foam.Thought if I did it the foam board way I could save a little money. I have 2 outside walls and a ceiling that need to be done

spray foam question

Are you putting the foam board on the outside wall?

If so, typical fiber insulation is just fine inside the walls at that point.
