spray foam question

I'am getting ready to redo the drywall in my living room.The question I have is I want to get a DIY spray foam (close cell). Is it okay to use 2" foam board the high density kind and then fell the rest with foam, or should I just fill the hole cavity with the foam.Thought if I did it the foam board way I could save a little money. I have 2 outside walls and a ceiling that need to be done

Are you putting the foam board on the outside wall?

If so, typical fiber insulation is just fine inside the walls at that point.
