Sound problem

Have a customer that lives in a condo with a shared wall. She complains that she can hear every little thing on the other side. I checked the walls, and they're 5/8 rock with what looks like mineral wool insulation.
Any ideas on sound proofing? How much do you think a Sheetrock overlay would help?

What about foam injection on top of the insulation?

Must be an older unit. Any new constrution would have called for party walls.
One wall is build and sheetrocked than another wall is built making sure the studs do not line up with the wall behind it, insulate with fiberglass batts and then sheetrocked.
Adding another lay will do very little. Air space would be needed between the layers.
Just do a Key Word search on the net on sound proofing.

Sheetrock overlay on each side using this: http://www.soundproofingcompany.com/...t-sound-clips/
will certainly help...
