Small gap insulation

Is there anything I can or should put between these studs? The facing side in the inside of the bathroom. What you see between the studs is just a layer of fake wood paneling. On the other side is the pathway to the basement. I'm thinking of some of that foam sheeting. If for no other reason than to give the wall some volume. Is this a good idea or do you suggest something else?

Small gap insulation

Are worried about sound or insulating temp from the basement?
