Sealing part of an existing ridge vent

I am planning to spray about four inches of closed cell foam insulation to the underside of the roof deck in the kitchen. The kitchen has a vented cathedral ceiling. Additionally, the kitchen and the attached garage share a common roof and one continuous ridge vent. How would I go about sealing the kitchen portion of the ridge vent and not the portion servicing the garage?

You could just blocker it with rigid from from the interior and put the SPF right over top.

Once the roof is due to be replaced, they can stitch in the new plywood repair if you have the rigid foam there and don't have the SPF right to the deck.

Make sure all the fans and top plates are secure and venting through the roof.

4" of even cc SPF isn't much if you have a cold season and the roof, with enough moisture, will still sweat.
