Sealing around exhaust fan
I just put in a new exhaust fan in my bathroom. I noticed that there is a 1/8 inch gap around the opening and the fan housing. Should I (or can I) seal that gap with spray foam?

The exhaust fan is a light/fan/heater combo and I was thinking about using fire block spray foam...

It can hurt and will keep a bit more of the air in the home.

Be careful with the foam that it does not over expand and bind the fan housing.

I used caulking to seal the gaps around my bathroom vents. Most likely, you are going to make a big mess with spray foam.
