Metal roof insulation

i have a serious question on how to insulate a ceiling that has a metal roof we are building an addition using our existing back porch the walls are all framed and it already had an exposed metal roof what if anything special do we need to do to insulate the roof does it need a vapor barrier between the insulation and the metal

Location of the home?

Google "Crash Course in Roof Venting".

You will need to figure out if you want it to be a hot (i.e. insulated and sealed) roof or a vented design.
