Insulating a shed roof?

Got a lofted barn that I'm going to use part as storage and the other side for a shop. Going to heat and AC the shop so I will be insulating the walls and ceiling. Should I just insulate the ceiling or should I do anything with the roof? Also since the other side will be for storage and the loft area is common to both sides what can I do to help keep the shop side conditioned? The wall between will be insulated but should I insulate the ceiling of the whole building?

Probably easiest and cheaper to just insulate the ceiling. Make sure it is air tight as well so you don't have any air/moisture loss.
