Insulating interior basement walls

I have a interior basement wall that I'd like to insulate. It runs the whole distance of my basement in the middle. It's currently just a stud wall with drywall on one side.

Can I use bat insulation?

I'm located in eastern Canada btw

The house is a late 1960s bungalow.

50% is finished, but the other 50% of the basement is unfinished. The wall I want to insulate splits the unfinished and finished halfs in two.

The have plans to develop and insulate the unfinished area (against the foundation) but not for another year or two.

The finished area is heated, the unfinished is not. Humidity is low for about 10/12 months of the year. We have a rather short summer here, but a mild winter (around the freezing mark)

As it is an interior partition wall, any insulation would work, though you should supply some heat/cold-air-return to the unfinished areas as well. Or at least a dehumidifier when RH is high...
