insulating crawl space-which product to use?

I purchased a cottage built in 1900. There is currently no insulation under the house. I need to know what would be best for this application. The house was built on a downgrade and has less than 3' clearance crawl space on the high side. That being said the house is set on pillars and has been nicely trimmed, but isn't vented. Should I use fiberglass insulation or should I use reflectix applied in the R17 manor? I do plan to lay down 6 mil vaporous barrier as well. Thanks in advance for any assistance you can give. I really want to do this right the first time

Google "Conditioned Crawlspace"

That is probably your best and easiest option in this case.

There are also a ton of threads on this board with pictures and feedback.

Good luck and keep us posted!!
