humidity

I have a small shed that is under the main roof but on the outside edge of the car port. So not really attached to the main house. It is about 42" interior width x 19' long. 2 doors for entry. 2 x 4 stud walls at 16" OC with 6.5" tall by 3.5" beams for the roof, 24" on center. The problem is humidity. I store tools there and am looking to reduce the humidity so I don't have to constantly work on keeping them rust free. If I were to insulate it really well would that help? Not planning on HVAC, the space is too small(tho' now that I think about it I might post in the HVAC section as well).

Comments are appreciated...

Is the humidity coming from the air or the ground/slab?

Sealing it up might help but you still need to De-humidfy the air.

From the air. We have high humidity here.

It would be too expensive to install an AC unit, I think. And the space is really small.

If I insulate well and add a dehumidifier what sort of level can I expect? And what brand/model of dehumidifier?

The space is small enough that I might use one of those spray foam kits.
