How to insulate this area
the area of concern is near the soffit on the roof sheathing where my home and my neighbors connect. There is ice on the nails and a little mould. how do I go about fixing this problem. Hopefully you can see from the outside the the part that runs up the roof covered in flashing that seperates me an my neighbor. what is that called? The other pics are of where the drywall in attic meets the roofline around 4 or 5 feet from the soffit

How to insulate this area
Hard to see what these picture are trying to show, reason being, I do not see any roof vents, can not see any rafters.
Did someone just cover the rafters with OSB? |

what you are looking at is a picture taken from the attic entrance pointing at the shared wall at the top is a 2x4 (i think) the same thing that can be seen from the outside on the roof

How to insulate this area
maybe moisture coming in from the outside where the flashing material is. this problem doesn't occur in the summer or when its raining. I checked.

How to insulate this area
The roof deck is much warmer and therefore has a much higher dew point in the summer.
It is humidity from the home. Is the room below a bathroom?

How to insulate this area
Not in the winter months.
Weatherstrip and insulate the access hatch.

How to insulate this area
I'm still having some trouble figuring out those photos. But your attic is basically supposed to be the same temperature as the outside. You should not have snow and ice on the inside of your roof because, first, little moisture is migrating from the living area to your attic, and secondly, you have enough ventilation in your attic that any moist air gets exchanged before condensation starts. Not sure how good your ventilation is, but it sure looks like like you are getting moisture up there. What Windows said is a good start.

Party wall or fire-wall between multi. units. Canned-foam the baffles against attic air/humidity from outside/below, as WoW said.

How to insulate this area
i have 2, 2 inch polystyrene rigid insulation on top of the panel that enters the attic is that enough or should glue two or three more to that
the moisture/frost is on the shared wall that is covered with fire rated drywall. That is what seperates my and my neighbors attic spaces |
