framing basements

2x4, 2x6, rigid foam on the wall, location, etc.

Bunch of question prior to getting an answer.

framing basements

Wow..sometimes it amazes me that when other folks are doing the same thing at the same time. Anyway, I have been pricing out what it will cost to insulate and frame my basement (which is also about 1000 sq ft.). I just used prices that I found online for supplies from Lowes using the following:
2" XPS foam + adhesive
2x4 studs (treated for bottom)
as well as roll insulation between studs (R10)

I have a spreadsheet at home that I will double check, but I believe that it was somewhere around $1900. I'll check when i get home and get back to you. I also priced it out using 1" XPS to be about $1300.

FYI, my basement consists of 2 standard size doors, 1 double door, and 2 (~5ft wide) windows...which obviously decreases the square footage of the walls.
