Floor insulation for small room over inaccessable crawl space.
We are doing some minor renovations to our new (but circa 1928) wood frame home. There is an approximate 11x11 room that is built over a small crawl space. (The crawl space also contains assorted PVC and electrical lines in use).
We have stripped the room down to an old wood plank floor that sits on top of 2"x6" beams. We have insulated the rooms exterio walls and ceiling. (There is no structure above this room.) What if anything can/should we put over the wood planks to help insulate? Our (tentative) plan is to install a vinyl or press on tile type floor for finishing.' thanks! |
