Fiberglass insulation

Can I seperate the fiberglass insulation and fluff by hand (2 bags) for the attic or do I need to rent a machine?

Fiberglass insulation

Ayuh,... Sure ya can,...

I'd suggest a very Cool shower after to wash off the glass shads, as hot water will open yer pores, 'n make it worse...

Fiberglass insulation

You'll want a machine to do it correctly. They usually come free with a certain number of purchased bags.

Fiberglass insulation

I agree with Michelle, it isn't worth the discomfort you would experience by seperating the batts. The fibres get into your skin, eyes, and body (if you don't wear a mask) and the results of the job still won't be as good as blowing it in. Most home reno supply stores supply the machine with a number of bags purchased. Also, they can help you determing what you should have for your location. Good luck.
